LABOUR CHOOSES CANDIDATES FOR BY-ELECTIONS.

Labour has chosen its candidates for the forthcoming District Council  by-elections in Aylesham and Dover as well as the County Council by-election for Dover.

In Aylesham Bob Thompson will be the candidate. Bob is a well known Aylesham resident and he has been a coach with local boxing clubs. Bob is also a member of Aylesham Parish Council and he is involved in local issues, including the plans for the development of Aylesham and Snowdown.

For Elms Vale, Maxton and Priory Ward, Labour have chosen Viv Revell, who has been very involved in campaigning for the interests of local children and their families. Viv works at the Triangle Centre and takes a close interest in ensuring that amenities such as play spaces are protected and that Council services for local residents are closely monitored.

For the Kent County Council by-election Labour has chosen Gordon Cowan who has many years experience in representing Dover residents. Gordon believes that  this is a crucial time for Dover when decisions need to be made on quality services for children and families as well as relief of congestion on our roads. Gordon is looking forward to ensuring that Dover’s interests and the concerns of Dover residents  continue to be heard in Maidstone.
